Born in 1977, she holds a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages and Business Studies from the University of Stirling in Scotland and a professional qualification in Overseas Trade from the Institute of Export in London. Madhavi grew up in Africa and Europe. After qualifying and working in Europe, she returned to Mauritius to work for the Rogers Group, IBL Tourism, the Board of Investment and the National Computer Board, before taking up the role of Head of ACCA Mauritius in 2010. Her fields of expertise are business and management, export marketing, commercial law, Spanish and German.
She is currently in charge of implementing ACCA's business development strategies in Mauritius and of supporting the growth of the accountancy profession and the advancement of the public interest in Mauritius. Her office also oversees ACCA activities in the Seychelles.
Madhavi regularly contributes to national and international forums and jury panels as well as corporate Boards. She is a member of the MIoD and currently chairs the Social Capital Commission at Business Mauritius.
