Gerald Lincoln has been in the accounting and auditing profession spanning nearly 20 years. Gerald graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science Faculty Accounting and Finance (U.K.) in 1990 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993. He is a member of the committee for Accounting and Auditing in Mauritius.
Gerald is the CEO of Ernst & Young Mauritius and the Country Managing Partner for Mauritius, Madagascar and the Seychelles. Since taking the leadership of Ernst & Young in late 2003, the firm has grown substantially, and opened up in Madagascar and the Seychelles.
Gerald has spent his whole career in the accounting and auditing profession, working with 3 prominent professional services firms in London, before joining Ernst & Young. He is now responsible for the audit of certain key clients, and for the consulting services, including Corporate Finance, IT Consulting, Financial Consulting and Strategic Consulting.
Gerald also acts as Technical partner, having been on the Mauritius Accounting & Auditing Standards Setting Committee for several years. His audit experience covers a wide range of companies in both private and public sectors, in services, retail, tourism, sugar, manufacturing and textiles. He has been partner on over five listed companies in Mauritius.
Lately, Gerald has worked on several Corporate Finance assignments, including the largest deal in year 2000. He performed important valuations, in connection with the setting up of the Port Louis Fund.
